Gery Herrmann at Mundelein Animal Hospital
Native to nearby Barrington, Dr. Gery Herrmann attended Miami University in Ohio for his undergraduate studies. He received his DVM degree in 1983 from the University of Illinois-Champaign-Urbana, and has been practicing at the Mundelein Animal hospital since 1986. Along with dogs and cats he treats a variety of exotic animals, such as reptiles, birds, ferrets, other small mammals and recently a wallaby.
Dr. Herrmann is a member of the Association of Reptiles, an active member of the American Animal Hospital Association and the American Veterinarian Medical Association. He has served on the board of the Chicago Veterinarian Medical Association and the Chicago Herpetological Society.
Dr. Herrmann lives with his wife Darcy, a registered nurse. They have a variety of snakes, lizards and turtles. He enjoys sailing, skiing, scuba diving and hunting with his German Short Haired Pointer, Jorma.
