Veterinarians at Mundelein Animal Hospital
Dr. Stefanie Kols Altneu graduated from the University of Illinois-Champaign-Urbana Veterinary School in 2004, and has been at the Mundelein Animal Hospital ever since. Along with dogs and cats she treats a variety of exotic animals, such as reptiles, birds, ferrets, other small mammals. She is a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians, the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. She now volunteers at Naper Settlement as a historic interpreter in 1840′s clothing at a living museum. Recently married, Dr. Kols Altneu and her husband share their home with their three cats, D’Artagnan, Nermal, and Talon, three geckos, and a box turtle.
